We are actively working to identify the next owner of Blue Mountain Wine Crafters Boutique Winery!

With both nostalgia and excitement, we want to share with you our plans for a significant transition in our life’s journey. After 10 years of dedicated passion and hard work in the wine industry, we have made an ambitious decision to sell our respected business and embark on a new chapter of our lives as we move towards retirement.

Late in 2014, we started this business when we bought the Cracked Cork homebrewing and wine making supply business in the small building at the end of the alley across from the wine making building. Over the years, we have gone from making wine 6 gallons at a time in glass carboys to now 175 gallon stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. As our craft improved, our wine was recognized with medals in the Maryland Governors Cup and Comptrollers Cup. Last year, we produced over 500 cases of amazing wine, mostly with local fruit.

Owning and operating Blue Mountain has been an incredibly fulfilling journey – one filled with joy, challenges, and countless unforgettable experiences. From selecting grapes each season to crafting exceptional wines that have brought pleasure to so many, this endeavor has been a labor of love that we will always hold dear to our hearts.

But as the years have passed, we’ve come to realize that it’s time for us to step back and embrace the next phase of life’s adventure. Retirement and family beckon, offering the opportunity to slow down, savor the simple pleasures, and devote more time to travel and vacations with friends and family.

While bidding farewell to the winery is no easy task, our hope is that this beloved establishment will continue to thrive under new ownership. We are actively working to identify the next owner who will build on our successes as they move forward with our talented staff on board. In the meantime we will operate with BUSINESS AS USUAL – meaning everything will remain the same with hours, music, food trucks, trivia, wine club, dinners and events.

We are immensely grateful for the support of our loyal patrons, the dedication of our talented team, and the camaraderie of fellow wine lovers who have made this journey so rewarding.  We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support as we take these next steps.

To each and every one of you who have been a part of this incredible journey, we offer our heartfelt thanks. Your support, enthusiasm, and friendship have meant the world to us, and we look forward to raising a glass together in celebration of the memories we’ve shared and the adventures yet to come.

So as we move towards selling the winery, if you or anyone you know are interested, please contact Daniel Langberg at 703-609-6477 or daniel@wineriesandvineyards.com

Sincerely,
Cindy & Tim
